The Fictional Crisis Committee (FCC) is a one-of-a-kind committee experience unlike anything found in a traditional Model UN setting. Rather than debating real-world issues, delegates are thrust into a completely fictional world, where they must respond to unfolding crises, adapt to unexpected developments, and make high-pressure decisions with real consequences within the simulation. For delegates looking to test their creativity and quick thinking, the FCC offers an experience that is as unpredictable as it is exciting.
 

At VYMUN 2026, delegates will debate a specific crisis topic, which will be released in June.

The FCC follows crisis rules of procedure but is designed for delegates of all experience levels. Position papers are not mandatory for this committee, but must be completed in order to be considered for an award.​
