The Paris Peace Conference
PPC
1914-1918: World War I, one of the most brutal wars humankind has ever seen. 1919: an attempt to make amends. The Armistice of 1918 has prevented further conflict, though, to ensure a long-lasting peace, a formal agreement is required. The Paris Peace conference is the attempt to create such an agreement. A series of meetings is held from January 1919 to January 1920 between the Allied Powers including the United Kingdom, France, the United States, and Italy—and the Central Powers with Germany in particular. It addressed key issues such as disarmament, reparations, and self-determination for many countries.
