International Press Corps
IPC
First conducted by VYMUN in 2007, the International Press Corps is a committee unlike any other. The IPC brings together the complexity of diplomacy on the world stage and the fast-paced nature of modern journalism. Delegates of the IPC will act as journalists—each will represent their respective news outlet, including the Associated Press, Xinhua News Agency, and The Onion. As IPC journalists, delegates are tasked with roaming the conference and reporting on each committee’s events in real time. Delegates will write articles, conduct interviews, and more. All IPC articles will be uploaded to the VYMUN IPC website.
IPC is designed for delegates interested in writing, journalism, and a unique Model UN experience. Position papers are mandatory for this committee, as delegates must be familiar with the reporting style of their news agency. Please see the IPC guide for information about the IPC position paper, which is distinct from that of a typical VYMUN committee.

Please email any committee-related questions and submit position papers to ipc@vymun.org.
