VYMUN 2026

James Wang
Secretary-General
James, a senior at West Point Grey Academy, is beyond honoured to serve as your Secretary-General at VYMUN 2026. His journey in Model UN began at VYMUN 2022, where he nervously raised his placard for the first time, doing his best to keep up with the fast-moving debate. Over the years, he has grown to embrace and cherish the intense, dynamic nature of MUN conferences. Outside of MUN, James enjoys playing the trumpet, trying his luck at poker, and getting disappointed by his sports teams. He looks forward to giving back to the conference that started it all for him, and making the 21st iteration of VYMUN the best yet!

Evangeline Lin
Director-General
Evangeline is currently a senior at West Point Grey Academy and is delighted to be the Director-General for VYMUN 2026. Ever since getting kidnapped at her first Model UN conference, she has grown to enjoy the chaotic and fun nature of conferences. Not only has she made new memories and developed her critical thinking skills throughout the years, but Model UN has also brought many friends into her life. Whether it be running to get a coffee right before a committee session or trying to read directives in the middle of a crisis, her life would not be the same without MUN. In her free time, she also enjoys running around Vancouver looking for new matcha places, writing in journals, and binge-watching Netflix. She is excited to help inspire and welcome new delegates to the world of Model UN, and hopes they enjoy it as much as she does.

Hugo Chung
Director-General
An incoming senior, Hugo is ecstatic to serve as your Director-General for VYMUN. He still vividly remembers walking into the wrong conference room at his first MUN and being embarrassed, but that small stumble only marked the beginning of his rewarding journey in diplomacy. Since attending his first conference in Grade 9, Hugo has gained confidence, built meaningful friendships, and developed a passion for guiding discussions and debates. Outside of the committee room, Hugo enjoys listening to classical music, programming the next big thing, and diving into math challenges. He looks forward to a stressful yet memorable weekend at VYMUN.

Aussia Towfigh
Chargé d'Affaires
Currently a senior at WPGA, Aussia is extremely excited to be your Chargé D’Affaires for VYMUN 2026. She still remembers her first VYMUN in Grade 7, and all the nerves that came with it. While she may have only spoken once that entire conference, it started a deep love for MUN and diplomacy. Throughout the years MUN has brought her around the world, and allowed her to meet so many amazing people. Outside of MUN, she can be found rock climbing (and falling), baking things she has no idea how to make, or waking up at weird hours to watch F1 races. She’s looking forward to an amazing weekend and can’t wait for the conference to start!

Jazmine Kadkhoda
Chief of Staff
Currently in her final year at WPGA, Jazmine is honoured to serve as Chief of Staff for VYMUN 2026, a role filled with responsibility, excitement, and a noticeable decline in sleep. Since starting MUN in Grade 10, she has developed a love for both the structured chaos of committee sessions and the art of turning last-minute ideas into surprisingly functional resolutions. Over the years, MUN has brought countless memorable moments, many inside jokes, and friendships built through shared stress. Whether she is managing crises or watching committees unfold, Jazmine thrives in the fast-paced environment that MUN never fails to deliver. She is incredibly excited to help bring VYMUN 2026 to life and hopes delegates are ready for a weekend filled with debate, twists, and a little bit of chaos. Good luck, and see you in committee!

Charles Wang
Chief of Staff
A senior at WPGA, Charles is delighted to serve as the Chief of Staff for VYMUN 2026. His MUN journey began in Grade 8, where he stumbled through a 30 second speech before being kidnapped to Tanzania. Since then, he has grown to love political science and the sudden advancements that can happen in MUN, treading along the fine line between collaborative solutions and global destruction. Outside of MUN, Charles can be found eating, consuming nutrition, and taking in chemical energy, all of which are crucial for a successful committee session. Years later, as he is faced with the secretariat desk, he remembers the friends and experiences he has gained on his journey, and looks forward to many more to come.

Victoria Sun
Delegate Affairs
Victoria is a senior at West Point Grey Academy and is excited to serve as your Head of Delegate Affairs for VYMUN 2026. Since grade 8, she’s loved Model United Nations for its mix of spirited debate, diverse perspectives, and unforgettable moments with friends. Whether she’s passionately sharing ideas or laughing between sessions, she believes MUN is where meaningful conversations and fun collide. Outside of MUN, you can often find her enjoying boba, binge-watching her favorite shows, or spending time along 41st. She is excited to help make this year’s conference a memorable experience for all delegates.

Lucy Yang
Delegate Affairs
A junior at West Point Grey Academy, Lucy is ecstatic to serve as VYMUN 2026’s Head of Delegate Affairs. Since joining MUN in 8th Grade, Lucy has the spirit to bring positive energy to all her friends and delegates around her. Not only was VYMUN her first conference, it was an opening door for her to experience social interaction and make unforgettable memories. She vividly remembers speaking a grand total of one time during her first conference, which marked the beginning of her meaningful journey in MUN. Lucy has gained confidence, built supportive friendships, and developed a passion for participating and leading discussion. MUN has become a huge part of her life and because of it, she has grown from being a person who doesn’t dare say a word in public settings to a person that can talk for hours without stopping. Outside of MUN, you’ll often catch her binge-watching Netflix, enjoying (or despising) tennis and volleyball practices, being fully convinced the mirror is judging her at her dance studio, and struggling to hit a note on 6th position on her violin. Lucy is looking forward to inspiring new delegates to start their MUN journey and witness spirited-debates at the 21st iteration of VYMUN.

Jonathan Wang
Director of Logistics
A junior at West Point Grey Academy, Jonathan Wang is incredibly honoured to serve as the Director of Logistics for VYMUN 2026. Ever since participating in VYMUN 2023, he’s been addicted to the intensity and pace of debating and socializing at MUN conferences. From sleeping during a whole committee session to rallying a crowd in the United States, Jonathan has seen it all; all of these experiences culminated in the development of many new friendships, lifelong memories, and a love for competition. When Jonathan isn’t doing anything MUN-related, he can be found at a wrestling gym, behind 25 tabs of schoolwork, or getting a healthy amount of sleep. Now that he’s behind the secretariat desks, Jonathan is absolutely committed to creating the most optimal MUN experience for every participant in VYMUN 2026.
