CONFERENCE

About

Vancouver Youth Model United Nations was founded in 2005 with the goal of introducing younger delegates (grades 7-10) to the world of Model UN. VYMUN strives to provide students with an educational experience that allows them to explore global issues in a learning-based environment. Over the course of the weekend, delegates develop diplomacy, public speaking, and negotiation skills, all the while grasping a more thorough understanding of international relations and world affairs.

Venue

VYMUN Vancouver is going to be hosted in UBC at the Robert H. Lee Alumni Centre. The venue provides nine spacious meeting rooms, with exterior rooms featuring floor-to-ceiling windows which open onto the terminus of the University Boulevard, a large square featuring the AMS Student Nest, Wesbrook Mall, two bus stations and a strip of food options. The Chaperone Lounges, equipt with plush chairs and located near the central stairwell and elevator complex to provide easy access to all meeting rooms.
