Whether it is drugs or surgeries, a common burden among many modern-day Americans is the price of common healthcare, sometimes costing outrageous amounts - a national annual total of 4.4 trillion dollars. Recently, senators of the United States of America came together to provide a solution to improve this deteriorating healthcare system.

An incredibly popular approach in the conference is the establishment of a tax-funded universal health care system, likely being operated by the government. On the contrary, an alternative solution to disband the previously active Affordable Care Act (otherwise known as ObamaCare) as a whole and replace it with relying on private healthcare companies alongside increased competition to directly reduce healthcare cost. However, this faced resistance when a senate stated the potentials of a monopoly that could halt the reduction of healthcare costs by stabilising competition. Furthermore, another motion that was stated was a joint solution, which proposes the increase of competition among private medical suppliers and the introduction of a universal healthcare system.

Although the specific conclusion of this ongoing debate may not be determined, nation-wide healthcare reforms that will financially benefit many individuals are certainly expected out of the conference.
